ACCESSIBILITY MATTERS

Riot Act believes that in order to dismantle and destroy the present forms of inequality, exploitation, and oppression that we face, our movements must include and be accessible to anyone who wants to be part of them. We believe it is essential to center accessibility in our work and not just include it as an afterthought or only if asked. Here is some basic accessibility info for the store:

Access Ramp to Entryway

Small (1 1/2”) rise at door threshold. We are continuing to work towards increasing accessibility getting into the store. Installed May 2025 with the donations and labor of our friends.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is usually plenty of street parking on Cedar St. You can also come through the Main Street Baptist Church parking lot and park in their lot. There are sometimes one or two spots directly behind the shop but it's a tight fit. Please do not park in any of the spots against the fence directly behind the Far East Chinese Restaurant.

MASKING

We encourage, but do not require masking in the shop or during events. We always have masks and covid tests available for free in the shop and encourage that people be respectful and considerate if people and individuals ask to mask up.

BATHROOMS?

There is one gender-neutral bathroom on the same level as the store back behind the staff-only storage area. This bathroom is very small, has a very narrow doorway and is not wheelchair accessible. It is under a staircase and thus the ceiling is very low. There is an accessible bathroom in the Bundy Museum visitors center (building on the corner of Cedar St & Main St).

ARE THERE SPACES TO SIT DOWN IN THE STORE?

We have a reading room at the front of the shop with many seating options. There are outdoor seating options behind Riot Act under the awning by the Annex.
